26 unique coffees from 26 different Canadian small-batch roasters. We’ve put in a lot of effort to curate a unique lineup of coffees to showcase a wide range of origins, varietals, and processing methods. The best of specialty Canadian coffee will be in this box!
The coffees will be roasted early November and be in the perfect freshness window for when you will be brewing them. This year, the Advent Calendar comes in two versions. One with light roasts only, and the other with a variety of roasts (light, medium, and medium-dark roasts).
All the coffees will be in whole bean form, with the intention of showcasing the unique characteristics and high qualities of each coffees. We’ll include brewing tips to help you dial in each coffee to perfection.
You can brew these coffees however you’d normally brew your coffees. You’ll get a delicious cup whether it’s brewed in a drip machine or a manual brewer! If you’re looking to brew these coffees on espresso, we recommend the larger version of the advent calendar that features light to dark roasts to give you some extra coffee for dialing in.
For both versions, we’ll include brew recipes to help you make sure each cup is tasting as good as it can (if nerdy coffee recipes are your thing).
The coffee is roasted by the best specialty coffee roasters in Canada. We put in a lot of effort every single month to find the top coffees available for you to try, and we can’t wait for you to dive into this very unique showcase of 26 of the best roasters in Canada.
The coffees are sourced via the specialty market which is traceable with premiums paid that are often significantly higher than that of a Fair Trade transaction. The coffees often are relationship coffees and as directly traded as possible, where there is a partnership between the roaster and the producer that typically has spanned for years.
All of our coffees come in whole bean. We believe that grinding fresh before brewing is the best way to preserve the unique characteristics and high quality of each coffee that we carefully source.
Not at the moment! While a decaf-only calendar would be pretty cool, the challenge lies in finding 25 unique decaf coffees in one month. We do however have a fantastic way of discovering new decafs through our monthly subscription (three new decafs each month).
All of the coffees in our advent calendar are 100% coffee beans. They do not contain anything else, such as gluten, dairy, or flavouring agents. The only ingredient is coffee! The tasting notes are provided by the roasters themselves, sharing with us what tasting notes the coffee reminds them of.
No, your order will not be impacted by US tariffs. We are shipping using a DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) service and the products are CUSMA exempt. You should not see any additional tariff or duty charges. That being said, the tariff situation is evolving rapidly, and it seems like not all couriers or customs brokers are on the same page. What will happen next? Who knows. In the meantime, we just want to enjoy a good cup of coffee (and we want you to enjoy one as well!)
Yes! We’d love that. We’ve worked with cafes and retailers across North America in the past to carry our advents, and we have wholesale pricing available depending on volume.
