When Margot and Nathan Jantz moved from Vancouver’s vibrant coffee scene to the quieter community of qathet, British Columbia, they brought their love for great coffee with them—and turned it into something special. What began with Nathan building his own roaster eventually became 32 Lakes Coffee Roasters, followed by the opening of their café and bakery in 2017. From selling at local farmers markets to help people discover lighter roasts, to building strong, lasting relationships with coffee traders, 32 Lakes has always focused on connection—both with their community and the producers behind their beans. Today, the duo continues to grow their mission with a strong commitment to sustainability, carbon neutrality, and environmentally responsible sourcing, all while bringing fresh, high-quality coffee to grocery stores across Vancouver Island.
