Café Pista started the way no one expected: on a bicycle. In 2014, 20-year-old Maxime Richard built a pedal-powered coffee bike inspired by London students who ground coffee using human energy. He took it to the streets of Montreal and never looked back. Three cafés and a dedicated roasting space later, Pista still follows a farm-to-table mentality with everything roasted in Montreal.
