The history of the coffee plant itself is pretty wild as it meandered its way across the world – from East Africa to the Middle East to Europe and further on to the Americas & Asias. The etymology of the English word Coffee showcases a bit of that journey, which we thought was incredibly interesting. Check out this graphic below:

 

“Wine of the Bean” is beautiful. Interestingly enough, some beans have wine-like tastes & tendencies, which perhaps shines a light into the characteristics of what the individual who coined the term was drinking?
