Matchaeologist - Houjicha
"Our signature ceremonial-grade matcha is artisan roasted to produce a rich, creamy body and smooth mouthfeel not unlike a perfectly brewed espresso"
Description
Meet Matchaeologist's Houijcha. This reserve houjicha powder is made from carefully selected tea leaves from the renowned tea-growing region of Uji that are steamed, dried, and artisan roasted to bring out the distinctive aromas of toasted nuts, coffee, and caramelized sugar. We use proprietary ‘deep-roasting’ techniques, manually calibrating the roasting time and temperature to imbue the tea with the perfect intensity and robustness. This roasted tea is milled into a fine powder, which can easily be incorporated into any drink or dessert recipes such as houjicha lattes, ice-cream and desserts.
