This small-batch, made-to-order chocolate intends to highlight the unique origins of cacao (sounds familiar, eh?) and has been ethically sourced by Ryan over at Chachalate!
This bar is delicious! It is full of roasted and caramelized almonds that have been baked into cookies (without any wheat) and then crumbled into fruity Tanzanian chocolate.
The cocoa beans used in this bar were grown by over 4,500 neighbouring farmers in the village of Mbingu (Kiswahili for Heaven), Tanzania. The beans were then carefully fermented at Kokoa Kamili, the central fermentary in the region. Chachalate then lightly roasted these beans to preserve and highlight their natural flavours (just like your favourite fruity coffees).
