This is the first international roaster featured by The Roasters Pack. We are honoured to be able to share the talented Tim Wendelboe with The Roasters Pack community!
Tim Wendelboe is a roaster from Oslo, Norway with an exceptional reputation within specialty coffee (he’s won the World Barista Championship and the World Cup Tasters Championship - aka he’s been crowned the best barista in the world and the best coffee taster in the world)!
When selecting coffees, Wendelboe focuses on quality and traceability. They roast light in the archetypal Scandinavian style, which attempts to showcase the terroir of where the coffee is from.
One of the coffees we have decided to bring in is their washed Kenyan from the Gachatha cooperative out of Nyeri, Kenya!
“This Kenyan coffee from the Gachatha wet mill has a very distinct and intense fruity flavour with a refreshing acidity. Expect winey notes of rose hips, hiciscus and blackcurrants,” Wendelbow says of this cup.
"Still the coffee from Gachatha has the recognizable intense fruity flavours that I think of when I dream about delicious Kenyan coffees."
This lot is from Nyeri, which is known to produce some of the best Kenyan coffees. The green lush environment with a climate that is always cool at night followed by warm days makes for incredible growing conditions.
